"CAPA [Council of Anglican Provinces in Africa] is a faith-based organization operating in 13 Anglican provinces in Africa and the diocese of Egypt. ... The Anglican Church of Canada supports the core work of CAPA with an annual grant of $10,000. From September 15 to 30 [2017], [Canon Grace] Kaiso, along with Elizabeth Wanjiku Gichovi, CAPA's communications and finance director, and Canon Isaac Kawuki-Mukasa, the Anglican Church of Canada's Africa relations co-ordinator, met with Anglican and ecumenical leaders in the dioceses of Edmonton, Niagara, Qu'Appelle, Rupert's Land, Montreal and Toronto. The meetings were 'for mutual learning and setting priorities for stronger mission together' according to CAPA. While in Ottawa, the delegation met with directors of diocese's program and ministries. The Rev. Laurette Glasgow, special advisor for government relations for the Anglican Church of Canada, accompanied CAPA officials to the roundtable with government officials at Global Affairs Canada (GAC) to talk about peace and security in Africa. The agenda for the roundtable with GAC officials included discussions about the civil war in South Sudan, where an estimated 300,000 people have been killed".

That this National Executive Council of the Anglican Church of Canada adopt the following policy and urge that policy upon the Canadian government:
1. That urgent measures be undertaken to cancel outstanding debt owed by sub-Saharan African countries including debts to the Export Development Corporation and to the Canadian Wheat Board.
2. That Canada support alternatives to assist economic recovery and development as outlined in the "African Alternative Framework to Structural Adjustment Programmes" and the "African Charter for Popular Participation in Development."
3. That Africa remain on the U.N. agenda by keeping the primary responsibility for coordinating and monitoring programmes with the U.N. and not the Global Coalition for Africa.
4. That the Canadian government address the African economic crisis at all appropriate multi-lateral fora in which Canada participates, such as the Commonwealth, la Francophonie and the G-7. CARRIED #44-11-91
"In Africa, the range of PWRDF [Primate's World Relief and Development Fund] activities is as diverse as this vast continent itself. But some common themes among our partners are emerging", namely: training and leadership building; agro-forestry/environmentally positive agriculture; and human rights and justice".
