The Anglican Study Group in Church Unity was convened in the Diocese of Montreal to discuss the Lambeth Conference Report on Church Union which raised the great problem of the lack of unity in Christendom and to devise a plan or proposal towards the Union of Canadian Protestantism. The first meeting involved the reading of a paper by the Rev. D.V. Warner entitled, The Church of Canada.
The Group held several meetings between January and September 1921. In 1922 several meetings were held between the Anglicans and the Presbyterians.
