That the Doctrine and Worship Committee be directed to continue the process of evaluation of The Book of Alternative Services, employing professional survey advice, and from time to time to report such reflection to the Church and in particular to the 33rd General Synod; and further directs that adequate funds be provided to finance the evaluation process.
Mr. George Axon, Chairperson of the Expenditues Committe, indicated that there would be no increased costs to the Apportionment Budget if the above resolution were adopted.

The Commission will continue the process of evaluating the Book of Alternative Services through broad consultation with dioceses and parishes, reflect upon ..."

Archdeacon Harold Hazen rose to withdraw a motion on a similar subject.
That this General Synod adopt the recommendation of the National Executive Council (May 1987) that consideration of changes to the Book of Alternative Services be postponed from the Thirty-Second Session of the General Synod until the Thirty-Third Session of the General Synod, and that authority for the use of the book remain unchanged until that time.
