- "That this General Synod authorize the Doctrine and Worship Committee to complete the preparation of `A Book of Alternative Services', containing the following:
- A General Introduction, The Calendar of the Church Year, The Divine Office - Morning and Evening Prayer, Occasional Prayers, Holy Baptism, The Reconciliation of a Penitent, The Holy Eucharist, The Holy Eucharist - A form in the language of the Book of Common Prayer 1962, Communion under Special Circumstances, The Proper Sentences, Prayers and Readings for the Church Year, The Weekday Lectionary and A Short Table of Psalms and Readings, The Celebration and Blessing of a Marriage, Ministry to the Sick, Ministry at the Time of Death, The Funeral Liturgy, Family Prayers, Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child, The Blessing of Oil, Confirmation, the Ordinal, A Service of Thanksgiving on the Anniversary of a Parish or on the Feast of Dedication
- and to present the complete material to the National Executive Council for permission to publish for use, where authorized, by the Diocesan Bishop at least until the 32nd General Synod."
- Bishop Lackey offered the services of the Diocese of Ottawa to translate the Eucharist and Baptism Rites into French.
