That, Whereas this year 1943 is our year of Jubilee; and
Whereas the Church of England in Canada, by virtue of her noble heritage, is faced with a great responsibility and a unique opportunity today; and
Whereas we have heard the Reports of the Departments as to their conception of their needs to meet this challenge;
Therefore this General Synod makes solemn declaration that it approves a Programme of Advance:
And to this end:
A. Calls upon our Bishops and Clergy to lead in this endeavour, Diocese by Diocese, Parish by Parish;
B. Calls our people to a deepening of their spiritual lives and a dedication of themselves anew at this time to the strengthening and extension of the work of our Church;
C. Calls upon our Departments so to organize their work that this can be accomplished; and
D. Undertakes now by this definite resolution to meet these needs and "buy up" this opportunity for Christ and His Church by the raising of more money through the Apportionments, Diocese by Diocese, year by year, beginning in 1945 and until such time as this Programme of Advance be completely fulfilled. CARRIED in both Houses by a standing vote.
After a conference with Chancellors Gisborne and Harris, the Upper House passed the following Resolution: "That a Joint Committee of both Houses be formed to arrange for a proper Commemoration of the Consecration of Bishop Inglis. Such commemoration to include:
(a) A service in all our Churches on a Sunday to be fixed.
(b) A service with a similar purpose, to be held, if possible, in St. Paul's Cathedral, London, England, and in Trinity Church, New York, U.S.A.
(c) And any further Commemoration such as this Committee may decide as fitting."

Resolved, That the Lower House concurs in Message II-1 and requests the Prolocutor to appoint the members of the Lower House on this Committee. MESSAGE II-1A.
That this Synod record its happiness and deep appreciation for the visit of the presiding Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the United States of America to this Jubilee Session of the General Synod of the Church of England in Canada.
We recognize the great value of the visit of a distinguished ecclesiastic from our Sister Church in the country to the South of us, which is so closely bound to us in Canada in our united crusade against the pagan forces which are seeking by evil aggression to dominate the world. Especially, we desire to express our gratitude for the sermons which the Rt. Rev. H. St. George Tucker delivered at the Synod Service in St. James' Cathedral and the Jubilee Service at St. Paul's Church.
Further we thank him for the spirit of true brotherhood which has characterized his fellowship with us. His presence has been a benediction. CARRIED with enthusiasm in both Houses.
