Resolved, That whereas it has been stated by a medical authority on carefully prepared statistics that for every one white person who dies of tuberculosis, twenty Indians (in proportion to population) die;
And, whereas, there is no sufficient accommodation in the Sanatoria of Canada for Indian patients; and whereas, Tuberculosis is the greatest enemy and peril to the life of the Indians; be it resolved that, the Upper House concurring, the deputation which is to wait on the Premier to bring before him the matter of Indian education, be asked to bring before him also the matter of fighting Tuberculosis among the Indians. MESSAGE PP.

That the most urgent need of the work amongst the Indians in Canada at the present time is more Missionary Priests who can speak the language of the people to whom they minister, and that every effort be made to hold the Missions opened by the early pioneers and minister to the Indians therein. CARRIED in both Houses.

That the thanks of the General Synod of the Church of England in Canada be extended to the various Railway and other Transportation Companies for the very generous assistance in moving carloads of fruit and vegetables, also bales of clothing, toys, etc, to the relief areas of the West, free of charge. CARRIED in both Houses.
