That the suggested Council of the Churches on British Migration be referred to the Executive of the Social Service Council with power to act. CARRIED in both Houses.
Whereas; The National Executive Council on request of The Pension Committee after careful study approved in February, 1969 certain amendments in the "Regulations" of Canon VIII, in order to clarify situations arising in the affairs of the members, and to assist in the procedures necessary to administer the plan:

The 1967 edition of Canon VIII be repealed and replaced by the 1969 edition of Canon VIII, reading as follows:

The Report of the Committee on Reunion was presented by Principal Waller and the following Resolutions were considered:
1. That a representative Committee on Reunion with an Executive be appointed by the General Synod to study continuously the whole question of the Reunion on Christendom and to deal with such special problems and opportunities relating there to as may from time to time arise; and to report, before taking formal action, to the General Synod or to its Executive Council.
2. That a committee on Faith and Order be appointed and instructed to co-operate with the Committee on Reunion.
3. That the Committee on Faith and Order be instructed to appoint a committee of Theologians to assist them in the study of the Lausanne reports and particularly as to their consistency with the standards of the Church of England in Canada.
4. That the Synod sanctions the raising of contributions as hitherto to defray our reasonable share of the expenses necessarily incurred in the continuation of work of the World Conference on Faith and Order.
