File consists of material collected and compiled by Bernice Logan with the intention of documenting the experiences of staff and students at the residential schools from a positive perspective. Collected materials were compiled into three volumes entitled, Teaching Wigwams. Photocopied pages from this collection are included in the file.
Bernice worked at Shingwauk Indian Residential School (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) and All Saints Indian Residential School (Lac La Ronge, Sask.) and passionately advocated for the former staff and for their version of the residential school experience. She lead the Association of Former Indian Residential School Staff and compiled three volumes of photographs with some narrative she titled, Teaching Wigwams.
File consists of Eileen Hayward's response to the questionnaire and other correspondence, as well as 43 photographs. They document Eileen Ramsey's experience at St. Philip's residential school in Fort George, Quebec (Chisasibi, Quebec).
File consists of the Rev. Canon Jean Bonnard's response to the questionnaire, email correspondence, and accounts of Canon Bonnard's experiences at the La Tuque residential school in La Tuque, Quebec. Includes other historical material Bonnard collected from other people, such as some pages from the History of the Diocese of Keewatin (2002); and accounts of events he attended, such as the Residential Schools Conference in Mistassini, Quebec (2005).
