Dr. Fairweather spoke at some length regarding his paper, "The Ordination Prayer." After considerable discussion, it was [moved and seconded].

That this House of Bishops no longer insists on the inclusion of the option for Consecration in the Ordinal expressed in its Memorial to General Synod.
Moved by Bishop Goodman, seconded by Bishop Payne,
That this Motion be tabled. DEFEATED
The original Motion was CARRIED.

Prologue
Archbishop Watton spoke on stipends and allowances, and reported on research that has been done. The Primate expressed appreciation to the members of the House for their co-operation and openness which assisted in the compiling of the report. He conveyed special appreciation to Archbishop Watton for having the report ready for presentation at this meeting of the House.
It was agreed that this report was for the information of the House, but that factual information (no names and/or dioceses), will be made available to the National Executive Council's Task Force on Stipends.
