That this General Synod give first reading to the following Canon on the Reception and Recognition of Clergy from Churches in Full Communion with the Anglican Church of Canada.
1. A member of the clergy of a church in full communion with the Anglican Church of Canada, duly ordained by a bishop of that church, may be received into a diocese as a lawful Bishop, Priest or Deacon of the Anglican Church of Canada when he or she:
a) is of the required age, of virtuous conversation, without crime, and learned in holy Scripture,
b) presents to the diocesan bishop Letters Bene Decessit, or equivalent credentials, from the bishop of the diocese or equivalent jurisdiction with which he or she was last connnected,
c) promises in writing to submit in all things to the discipline of the Anglican Church of Canada, and
d) subscribes and makes the declarations required of clergy of the Anglican Church of Canada.
2. Clergy of a church in full communion with the Anglican Church of Canada may execute any of the functions of a bishop, priest or deacon in the Anglican Church of Canada, according to the ordained status which they hold in their church, when duly licensed or permitted by a diocesan bishop.

In response to the letter from the General Secretary, this House approves the proposal that would make provision for the transfer of clergy employed at the National Office to the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Primate. CARRIED 10-2-82
It was agreed that the Committee on Organization be asked to study the many factors involved, recognizing that there must be a clear line of accountability. It was agreed, also, that the Organization Committee be asked to study the matter of transference of Diocesan titles.
Concern was raised regarding the House of Bishops' List. The Primate reported that the Rev. R. Johns is working on this and that he is to report to the Organization Committee and the House of Bishops.
The General Secretary noted that retired Bishops are, by Canon, now accountable to the Bishop in whose Diocese they reside.
That General Synod direct the Faith Worship and Ministry Committee, to prepare collects appropriate for use with the three-fold cycle of the Revised Common Lectionary, consulting ecumenically. CARRIED WITHOUT DEBATE Act 64
Bishop Hollis reported that the subject of Bishops Continuing Education Seminars at the next meeting will deal with biological issues, rational suicide, etc. It was his opinion that four or five sessions would be necessary.
That Wednesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons be set aside for Continuing Education. CARRIED

That the House ask Bishop Lawrence and Bishop Hatfield to bring the concerns of the House of Bishops on the deployment of ordained women to the Committee on Ministry, assemble facts and data available, and report back to the House at the May, 1981 meeting. CARRIED
That NEC approve the amendment to Article II in the Constitution of the Canadian Council of Churches which reads "and other churches which affirm the same faith but which do not make doctrinal confessions." CARRIED #19-11-93
