Notes
It was agreed that the Committee on Organization be asked to study the many factors involved, recognizing that there must be a clear line of accountability. It was agreed, also, that the Organization Committee be asked to study the matter of transference of Diocesan titles.
Concern was raised regarding the House of Bishops' List. The Primate reported that the Rev. R. Johns is working on this and that he is to report to the Organization Committee and the House of Bishops.
The General Secretary noted that retired Bishops are, by Canon, now accountable to the Bishop in whose Diocese they reside.
That this House of Bishops commends the Reverend Canon John McCausland, SSJE, on the 60th Anniversary of his ordination as Priest, being celebrated at St. Brice's Church, North Bay, Ontario, on December 13, 1992.
We commend him for his long and faithful service as a Priest in the Diocese of Algoma and for a short term in the Diocese of Toronto, especially for his long term service as a member of the SSJE and as Father Superior for a number of years.
He has also worked with dedication in the field of Doctrine and Worship and served the interests of the National Church.
He will be remembered by most of the parish priests across the Church for "McCausland's Notes" on the daily and weekly Lectionary.
We affectionately wish him good health and join with his many friends who will be meeting in St. Brice's, North Bay, to honour him. CARRIED

Bishop Pryce reported that the planning group of Bishop Walmsley, Bishop Donovan, the Rev. Richard Chang, the Rev. Pat Mauney, the Rev. Michael Ingham, and himself met in June.
Bishop Pryce reviewed a suggested format for the meeting. He said that a second planning meeting is to be held in January. Further enquiries are to be made into possible locations.
He reported that the estimated attendance would be forty-five bishops from each House, with a total of one hundred persons. The projected date is February 13-16, 1993. The ECUSA bishops would return home on the 17th and the Canadian bishops would continue until the 19th to work on their own agenda.
A suggested theme is "The Gospel in a Changing Church and in a Changing Culture." Among the topics suggested for study were Anglican Identity and Authority, Structures in the Anglican Communion, Multiculturalism, Racial Issues, Pastoral Issues, Justice and Peace, Roles of Bishops and Churches in solidarity with Women.
