1.1 (a) Be it resolved that the Council of General Synod approve amendments to Regulation 1.12(c) (Salary) of the General Synod Pension Plan effective October 15, 2011

1.12. "Salary" means the remuneration of the Member for Pension purposes and shall be composed of the aggregate of:
- (c) If the Member is ordained, the amount determined by the Diocese Participating Employer to be the value of housing, not included above and provided that any increase in the amount determined by a Diocese Participating Employer to be the value of housing, is subject to approval by the Pension Committee;
Archbishop Hiltz shared some of the observations made by the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Pastoral Visitors about their time with the Canadian bishops.
Bishop Bruce distributed a report from the Anglican Communion Working Group. He reviewed it. Discussion followed.

“This House of Bishops recommend to the Council of General Synod that the final text of ‘The Covenant for the Anglican Communion’ be presented to General Synod 2010 for consideration by The Anglican Church of Canada.”

The Primate introduced the resolution. He spoke of General Synod's strong ongoing partnership with Jerusalem and reminded Council of the General Synod 2010 resolution calling on the Anglican Church of Canada to strengthen relationships for peace that included “supporting the formation of national network of Canadian Companions of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.”

That the chartered accounting firm of Ernst & Young be appointed as the Auditors for The General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada, The Anglican Church of Canada Consolidated Trust Fund and The Anglican Church of Canada Resolution Corporation, for the fiscal year of 2011.
General Synod Treasurer Michèle George presented the report. She reviewed the financial statements of the Anglican Church of Canada Resolution Corporation (Doc. #007-11-11-03) the Anglican Church of Canada Consolidated Trust Fund ( Doc. #007-12-11-03), the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada (Doc.#007-13-11-03) and highlighted the key variances between actual results and budget.

AUDIT COMMITTEE REPORT #031-01-11-03
Archbishop Colin Johnson noted a new requirement for this year. As the Board of Directors has the fiduciary responsibility for the financial statements and the use of the resources of the church, the statements are draft until approved by the Council of General Synod. He reported that the auditors commended the treasurer on an open and candid dialogue and highlighted several fairly minor opportunities for improvement.
