- The Ven. Dr. Michael Thompson, General Secretary, announced the Joint Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and the Anglican Church of Canada will be held in Vancouver in 2019.
- His report, in the form of prayer, “Thanksgivings for the presence of God’s Spirit in what is and has been”, gave thanks for the many blessings granted to the council, staff and church leadership in doing the work. “Prayer for the presence of God’s Spirit in what is to come” spoke to the church responding to some of the challenges to come.

- Be it resolved that:
- This Council of the General Synod asks the General Secretary to convey to the Most Reverend Josiah Idowu-Fearon, the new Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, our very best wishes and our prayers as he takes up his new duties.

- The Primate reported the results of the two email ballots held since the November 2013 meeting:
- On February 14th, Council authorized the General Secretary and the Interim Director of the Resources for Mission department to enter into the Imagine Canada Ethical Code Program License Agreement on behalf of General Synod.
