- That this consultation process seriously examine ways of providing affordable housing (on site or elsewhere in downtown Toronto) as part of the potential development recommendation, and that options be included in the report.
- Motion #45-05-88 reads as follows:
- That, on the basis of information supplied by the Officers of General Synod, the "affordable housing" subordinate objective be removed.

- (i) That suggested Diocesan Apportionments for 1988 and succeeding years be calculated using the `fair share' formula based on Total Parish Income less diocesan grants and appeals income.
- (ii) That the Budget Sub-Committee of the Administration and Finance Committee develop annually the total amount required from the Diocesan Apportionments and the Suggested Diocesan Apportionments based on the approved formula; and then determine whether, based on best available information, any Suggested Diocesan Apportionments should vary from those based on the formula.
- (iii) That Suggested Diocesan Apportionments which vary from the formula application be discussed by representatives of the Budget Sub-Committee of the Administration and Finance Committee with appropriate persons or committees in each of the dioceses concerned. CARRIED #54-11-86

- That $425,000 of the MSCC General Reserve be transferred to a Car Loan Fund to ensure the cash requirements of the outstanding loans:
- That 10% of the resulting balance in the General Reserve [$363,494 at the beginning of 1988] be transferred annually to the General Synod Program Budget, beginning in 1988; and
- That the net of undesignated legacies received by the Missionary Society, and expenses charged to the General Reserve, be transferred annually to the General Synod Program Budget. CARRIED #23-11-88
