Scope and Content
Preliminary work to do with the construction of the Abitibi Canyon Generating Station, near Fraserdale and about 70 miles north of Cochrane. Various phases of this project were completed 1933-1936. Photo shows timber has been cleared away from riverbanks and a railway construction camp (branch of the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway, today's ONR) appears at bottom of photo.
