Ms. Grace Delaney expressed ACIP's concern with the name and composition of the Residential Schools Advisory Group. The term of membership is up for a number of members; there is policy work to be done and nominations to be gathered; and a new staff member, Esther Wesley to involve in the planning.
That the Council of General Synod empower the Officers of General Synod, in consultation with the Anglican Council of Indigenous Peoples, to consider the name and the composition of the Residential Schools Advisory Group, and to consider the process of appointing the next group. CARRIED #66-03-01
Noting "her people recognize the gift of young people and the leadership of young people" Ms. Delaney presented COGS Youth Members with a gift. She also presented a handcrafted goose to Archdeacon Jim Boyles "who has been able to stick his neck out for us."
