That the following be added to the above motion:
that the Spending Ceiling Estimates be modified by removing the projected deficit in 1994 of $265,212 and adding that amount to the income from other legacies (ie. the Johnston Bequest). CARRIED
The amended motion now reads:

That the NEC of General Synod receive the terms of the Order of the Ontario Court (General Division) dated July 5, 1993 (Court File 8971/93), and concur with the terms of the letter dated September 15, 1993 addressed to the Executive Director of the Anglican Foundation of Canada, from Messrs. J.E. Howell, Secretary, A.A. McMichael, Trustee, and J.L. Brisley, Trustee, and with the proposed Agreement between "The Catholic Apostolic Universal Church Fund" and "The Anglican Foundation of Canada," that a special fund be established, to be known as "The Catholic Apostolic Universal Church Trust Fund," and that it be administered according to the terms of Agreement entered into by the Trustees of "The Catholic Apostolic Church - Universal Church Fund," and the Anglican Foundation of Canada. That the Officers of the General Synod be authorized to receive and adopt a 1996 budget for General Synod, subject to ratification at the next meeting of Council. CARRIED
That this General Synod adopt the recommendation of the National Executive Council (May 1987) that consideration of changes to the Book of Alternative Services be postponed from the Thirty-Second Session of the General Synod until the Thirty-Third Session of the General Synod, and that authority for the use of the book remain unchanged until that time. That the following members be appointed to the Expenditures Committee: Archdeacon David Ashdown - Athabasca; Bishop Terry Finlay - Toronto; Archdeacon Archie Skirving - Huron. CARRIED #01-03-96
That an Ad Hoc Committee, composed of the General Secretary, the Prolocutor and two additional members of the Council of the General Synod, appointed by the Nominating Committee, be appointed to determine the location of the May 1997 Council meeting, taking into consideration the costs for travel and accommodation. That the next meeting of the Council of the General Synod begin on Thursday, November 7th at 12 noon, and conclude on Sunday, November 10th, at 3 p.m. CARRIED #38-03-96
That the minutes of the following meetings be approved:
National Executive Council, held at Queen of Apostles from February 28-March 3, 1995; and the Council of the General Synod, held at Carleton University on June 7-8, 1995. CARRIED #05-03-96
That NEC consider forwarding a resolution to General Synod recommending that a "No Debate List" procedure be adopted for use by General Synod, 1995, as follows:
a) The Resolutions Committee shall identify resolutions likely to be approved without debate. Those resolutions shall be listed, by number and title, on a "No Debate List" on the Orders of the Day.
b) The "No Debate List" shall be read at the beginning of the first session of the day.
c) When the "No Debate List" is read, upon the request of any member of Synod who wishes to speak against a resolution on this list, the resolution shall be removed from the list and be scheduled for debate at a time arranged by the Agenda Committee.
d) Resolutions remaining on this list shall be decided without debate.
