That the Synod expresses appreciation to Canon Naylor and his committee for the excellent report presented on the Educational Systems of our Canadian Provinces, with special reference to the Philosophy of Education; and that the report be referred to the G.B.R.E. Committee on Religious Education in the Schools, for study and action. CARRIED in both Houses.
The Bishop of Saskatoon presented the following Memorial adopted at the 1959 session of the Synod of the Diocese of Saskatoon:
That General Synod be asked to request the Bishops of the Anglican Church of Canada to consider establishing an arrangement whereby every ordinand of usual age shall serve for a required period where the Church as a whole considers that he is needed.

Recommendation 1 - That, while awaiting the enlargement of Church House, the Committee proceed with plans for the establishment of One Church Book Room, the function of which shall be the sale, distribution and rental of all supplies of literature, publications and visual aids of the three Boards and of General Synod, together with theological and devotional literature and such other general literature as may be required. CARRIED in both Houses.
