That, having received through the House of Bishops the request of the General Commission on Church Union for a revision of the present ecclesiastical discipline to permit occasions for reciprocal Inter-communion: this General Synod respectfully requests the Diocesan Bishops of The Anglican Church of Canada to permit Anglicans and members of other Christian Churches to share in Eucharistic practice with the full knowledge and consent of the proper authorities.

That in regard to women presently ordained as deaconesses in the Anglican Church of Canada, the Primate be asked to initiate any steps which may be necessary to ensure that those who are so ordered may belong to the diaconate. CARRIED in both Houses.
This is in substitution for Resolution 2, page 264, which was withdrawn by the mover and seconder.
For the purpose of providing equal opportunity and advancement for full-time women workers in the Anglican Church of Canada as well as to provide for the wider employment of their skills and experience, be it resolved:
That facilities be made available through a Central Registry at national church headquarters to secure and provide the necessary information for the employment and deployment of all full-time women workers in the Anglican Church of Canada; and, that information regarding the Central Registry be widely publicized throughout the Anglican Church of Canada. CARRIED in both Houses.
That the Board of Trustees of Canadian Churchman be asked to study the possibility of amalgamating with National Periodicals of other Christian bodies in Canada with a view to creating a general Christian journal for this nation as a whole; to report back to the next meeting of General Synod. CARRIED in both Houses.

That the present Canon on Degrees in Divinity be designated as Part II of Canon XXIV and that a new Part I be enacted.

That the proposal be amended to read as follows: "To repeal Canon XXIV `Degrees in Divinity' (Handbook, p.142) and to enact in its place the proposed Part I (with the deletion of the words `Part I') as the Canon on Theological Education (see p.106)." CARRIED in both Houses.
The proposed Canon was then considered Section by Section.
That the present Canon XXVII be repealed and the Canon XXVIIB as printed in the Convening Circular on Pages 257-284, be enacted in substitution therefor, was put by the Primate and CARRIED in both Houses nem con.
In substitution for #5 on page 265, the following Resolution:
Whereas there is deep concern about the status and the remuneration of the full-time women workers in the Anglican Church of Canada,
Be it resolved
That the General Synod urges that the following measures be adopted in each Diocese,
(a) That all Women involved in full-time programmed work in each Diocese be licensed or commissioned by the Bishop and that they be members of the Diocesan Synod.
(b) That taking into account their qualifications and work the remuneration of such women be comparable to the schedule of clergy salary and allowances of the Diocese in which they are employed.
(c) That the Diocesan authorities ensure that such women workers be made members of the appropriate Church pension plan. CARRIED in both Houses.
That the Report of the Committee on Ecumenical Affairs be received with the additional words in Section 3, paragraph c, following the words, "Anglican participation in World Refugee Year," "is endorsed by the M.S.C.C. and is". CARRIED in both Houses.
