Prologue
At the National Level
It is proposed that the second Partnership-in-Mission Consultation of the Anglican Church of Canada occur at the regular National Executive Council meeting in May, 1978 or at a special meeting in March, 1978. Alternatively, the regular meeting might be held in March and the Consultation in May.
Cost
It is anticipated that no extra-ordinary funding will be required for the National event unless the NEC holds an additional meeting.
The estimated cost is based on the attendance of three persons from each Diocese. It is proposed that the National Office subsidize the regional consultations expenses by an amount up to 50% of the total ($6,000) in addition to covering 100% of expenses of overseas partner representatives or consultants. The budget estimate for this latter would be approximately $10,000.
Text
That the National Executive Council endorse the principle of the proposal and refer it together with appropriate papers to Dioceses, National Committees and Provincial Synods for study, response and action with a request that reports be submitted to the General Secretary prior to the November 1976 meeting of the National Executive Council, if possible. CARRIED
Notes
It is understood that a decision as to a national consultation will be taken at that time.

Prologue
The report of the Doctrine and Worship Committee was presented by the Very Rev. David Carter with the assistance of the Rt. Rev. R.E.F. Berry, Very Rev. H. Rhodes Cooper and the Rt. Rev. F.H.W. Crabb.
Dean Carter expressed the concern of the Committee re the pressure on it with General Synod meeting every two years and the reduced number of meetings of the whole Committee. He reported that contemporary versions of Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline were under review, that an alternate Marriage service was being prepared and that the Alternate Burial Service would be published soon.
