- THAT General Synod request National Executive Council to consider the best way of securing the membership of the Metropolitans on the National Executive Council when desired without depriving the Metropolitical dioceses of the chance for lay or clerical representation, and if necessary to prepare a change of Constitution for submission to General Synod.

- "That we delete the words after the word, 'that' and substitute, 'one area be reserved for non-smokers and one for smokers'."
- The amendment was DEFEATED IN ORDER OF DELEGATES

- THAT the General Synod offer a statement of mission and commend its use in the Church:
- 1. the Mission for Christians is to offer to God the worship which is his due;
- 2. to make known to all men the Gospel of Jesus Christ;
- 3. to live out that Gospel by mutual concern and fellowship for one another across the world.
