- RESOLVED that the Council of General Synod deplores the Canadian International Development Agency’s decision to end its funding for KAIROS, and in consideration of the vital work carried out by KAIROS in many troubled parts of the world on behalf of Canadian church members, urges the federal government to reconsider this decision. - That the Council of General Synod authorize the Primate, in consultation with the National Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and the co-chairs of the Joint Anglican Lutheran Commission, to explore the possibility of establishing a Joint National Office in Ottawa and to take such steps necessary to explore the costs and other implications of such a move.
