That the motion tabled (see page 15) on the appointment of a Task Force be withdrawn and replaced with the following:
That this National Executive Council request the Primate to appoint from staff a person who will work with the Treasurer of General Synod, the Director of Pensions, the Director of Personnel Resources and selected members of the Stipend Committee to:
1. Develop and implement a monitoring process for the Compensation Report; and
2. Report to the National Executive Council through the Stipend Committee. CARRIED #42-10-89
That the Committee on Ministry be requested to examine the issues of parental leave and benefits and prepare guidelines for all employees of the Anglican Church of Canada. CARRIED WITHOUT DEBATE Act 142
That this General Synod commend the initiative taken by the National Executive Council and other bodies in arranging for the National Compensation Study, and urge the dioceses and the National Office to work on the implementation of adequate compensation policies and practices for the employees of the Church; and

The mover and seconder agreed to add the words "pension and" in the first line. Section (a) now reads:

Following discussion regarding the addition of "pension and" to the resolution and advice from an Assessor, it was agreed to delete these words.

The final report on Compensation Policies and Practices from the consultants, Woods Gordon, was distributed.
The Right Reverend Gary Woolsey outlined the format of the presentation and advised that two committees had been formed (Steering and Editorial) to deal with the recommendations at the consultation, which will follow this meeting of the National Executive Council.
Mr. Paul Barton discussed the final recommendations and both he and Ms. Lynda Mungall responded to questions throughout the presentation.
