- That this NEC approves the appointment of the above as the Anglican members and alternates of the General Board of the Canadian Council of Churches. CARRIED

- It was strongly recommended that the ICR Committee's Nominating Task Force be informed of concern about the preponderance of clergy nominated, with little representation of women and no representation of native peoples.

- That this Council of the General Synod agrees to change the terms of office of appointments to the Governing Board and Commissions of the Canadian Council of Churches to coincide with the Council's term from one triennial assembly to the next. CARRIED #04-05-98

- That this Council of the General Synod concurs with the recommendations that:
- 1. Rev. Dr. Wendy Fletcher-Marsh be confirmed as the second representative to the Commission on Faith and Witness for a term ending with the next triennial assembly of the Canadian Council of Churches;
- 2. There continue to be one staff representative to each of the Commissions of the Canadian Council of Churches and that these representatives be nominated by the Management Team and confirmed by the Officers in September 1998;
- 3. the second representative on the Commission on Justice and Peace be nominated by the Partners in Mission Committee and confirmed by the Officers in September 1998l and that
- 4. these appointments be for a term which ends with the next triennial assembly of the Canadian Council of Churches. CARRIED #05-05-98

- That this Council of the General Synod concurs with the recommendations from the Partners in Mission Committee regarding appointments to the Governing Board of the Canadian Council of Churches that:
- 1. the General Secretary continue as the staff representative, with the Director of Partnerships as alternate;
- 2. the Partners in Mission Committee nominate one of its members as the second representative and that the Officers of the General Synod confirm this appointment by mid-September;
- 3. the third representative be chosen in mid-September by the Officers from among the nominations received from members of the Council and Chairs of Standing Committees;
- and that these appointments be for a term which ends with the next triennial Assembly of the Canadian Council of Churches. CARRIED #06-05-98
